How To Make An End Table Taller
I bought 5/16″-18 x 3/8″ rough nail tee nuts (see here) that go into the bread legs (see photo below).

Next, I turned the tables. Fortunately, my table legs are marked in the middle. If you don’t, be sure to mark the center by measuring the diameter of the leg and placing a center mark. Do this 2 or 3 times opposite each other to find the center.
Then I drilled a 1/3″ deep hole with a 5/16″ drill bit. Note-If you don’t have a 5/16″ drill, I recommend just buying a drill kit (similar to this one). This is a few dollars more than buying individual pieces. Now I have another 10+ pieces for future projects – yay.
If you see a hole on the side of this leg (photo below) please note that I did not drill deep. They have been there – who knows. However, I don’t mind, the table is fully functional and they don’t interfere with this project.

Before painting, I flipped the table over to make sure it wouldn’t wobble. It is very stable and is still up to date (I am writing this 3 weeks after the project was completed).
Then I removed all the legs and put several coats of paint on each one. To match the paint I took one existing leg to Sherwin Williams and had it matched. I bought a small amount (sample size) for only a few dollars.
Tip- I’ve found that using painter’s tape and cups etc helps with drying the feet.
