Full disclosure, I did this a few months before I hit the publish button on this post because I wanted to make sure it would still be used. Spoiler alert: This DIY console table holds up so far! So I made a tutorial to share with you how you can make your own…any size you want.

Console tables are usually wide, but small pieces of furniture that are placed on the wall (the street is a common place for console tables) or behind the sofa. But it can be used anywhere.
In general, console tables can be used in different rooms for many different functions. They vary in size, but generally between 28 and 32 inches in length and between 30 and 60 inches. Most console tables are quite deep (anywhere from 12 to 18 inches).
Console Tables To Dress Your Hallway
Start by measuring and cutting the pieces of wood you need to make your console. In some cases, you can actually cut these parts from your local home improvement store. You just need to know in advance the dimensions you want. A handsaw is usually also available if no staff is available to help. So you can cut it yourself at the shop if you don't have access to a circular saw, table saw or similar at home.
If you're going to make a very simple console table like mine, you only need to cut (or have it cut at the hardware store) three pieces of wood. Two legs and one on the table. To give you a starting point for measuring, I cut my wood to the following dimensions:
I chose 11 1/4 inch wide wood (based on the size I needed and the budget friendliness of that width. And I was able to cut all three pieces from one piece of wood. But it depends on the length and width they specify) . .console, along with the type of wood you choose, you may need to get two pieces of wood to cut all three pieces to the correct size.
Simple Fall Console Table
Once the pieces are cut, sand all the rough edges. You can do this by hand with a smoothing sponge or use an electric smoothing machine (if you have one).
Next, drill the pilot holes where the screws will go. You need to do this in the three sections to make things easier on the screws and give a guide. I created a test pit with a power hole. Two holes in the side of the table and two holes in the legs on the top.
I made each of my screws an inch from the outside and two screws on each side. You can go up to three in each direction if that's good for you.

After the pilot holes are made, add your screws to secure the parts. And that's all. Very simple.
