The first step of the project is to build the base of the round table. As you can see in the picture you have to assemble the parts. With waterproof glue and pocket screws, drill pilot holes, line up both sides and insert screws. Make sure the corners are square and frame with small pieces of 1×2 wood to prevent water and moisture damage.
The next step in woodworking is attaching the 4×4 legs to the planed base. Level the posts with a spirit level before drilling the pilot holes and inserting the galvanized screws. Remember to adjust the foot size according to your needs.
Making the round table is probably one of the most complicated steps of the project. Because you need to mark the right guides. Place the strip on a flat surface and mark the center of the square. Place a 24-inch-long slate in the center of the table top and mark a circle with the opposite end. Then use a sharp blade jigsaw to work like a pro.

After cutting the slats as shown in the picture, we suggest you stick them with waterproof glue. and secure with several C-clips. Attach several slats as in the picture. The yellow component should be made from 2×4 lumber while the green component should be made from 1×4 lumber.
After the glue dries, you need to attach the legs to the table. Place the table base on top of the frame as shown in the diagram, drill pilot holes and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the frame. Use a spirit level to make sure the legs are vertical. Otherwise, the result may not be to your liking.
Last but not least we recommend you take care of the finishing work. Fill holes and gaps with wood fillers for professional results. And let it dry for a few hours. Check for loose screws and correct the problem if necessary.

When the table top is assembled and the glue has dried. Now it's time to cut out the circles. In the end, we found that the best way to do this is to draw a perfect circle with a house hex. And cut it freely with a jigsaw I thought a router would be a good tool to cut a circle, but we didn't, and renting it seemed like too much trouble. And we have a jig saw. So we use it
First of all, we tried to make a jigsaw puzzle for Jigsaw, and indeed, Jigsaw puzzles work very well in theory. He holds the jigsaw in place and moves in a full circle. Unfortunately we didn't do this because I think the wood we used was too thick for the jig saw blade to handle the jig. This is because the blade continues to bend and create an angle instead of cutting straight. We cut it free and it works really well! We were worried we wouldn't be able to cut it all the way through, but we did and it wasn't that hard if you slowed it down. Be steady and don't try to cut too fast. In the picture below I'm going to show you the template we made because the idea works so well.
