The first step of the project is to build the base of the round table. As you can see in the picture you have to assemble the parts. With waterproof glue and pocket screws, drill pilot holes, line up both sides and insert screws. Make sure the corners are square and frame with small pieces of 1×2 wood to prevent water and moisture damage.
The next step in woodworking is attaching the 4×4 legs to the planed base. Level the posts with a spirit level before drilling the pilot holes and inserting the galvanized screws. Remember to adjust the foot size according to your needs.
Making the round table is probably one of the most complicated steps of the project. Because you need to mark the right guides. Place the strip on a flat surface and mark the center of the square. Place a 24-inch-long slate in the center of the table top and mark a circle with the opposite end. Then use a sharp blade jigsaw to work like a pro.

After cutting the slats as shown in the picture, we suggest you stick them with waterproof glue. and secure with several C-clips. Attach several slats as in the picture. The yellow component should be made from 2×4 lumber while the green component should be made from 1×4 lumber.
After the glue dries, you need to attach the legs to the table. Place the table base on top of the frame as shown in the diagram, drill pilot holes and insert 3 1/2″ screws into the frame. Use a spirit level to make sure the legs are vertical. Otherwise, the result may not be to your liking.
Last but not least we recommend you take care of the finishing work. Fill holes and gaps with wood fillers for professional results. And let it dry for a few hours. Check for loose screws and correct the problem if necessary.

Don't forget to like and share our projects with your friends using social media widgets. We made a simple modern 48-inch round table out of 12 2x4x8s for our basement playroom. And I'll share how we did it! It is challenging to piece. But we love how it turned out!
The basic idea behind creating this table is simple. But I admit we ran into a lot of trouble building it. Although we have a good deal of experience building things at this point, if you've never built furniture before. I wouldn't recommend it as a first piece to start with. I think it is more of a medium difficulty level. It's not easy or super hard, but my tutorial will show you how to make things and how to use the tools that are usually mentioned if you create this table.
We have considered various formats. As shown in my concept sketch in the far right photo on our table design, for the base, we originally planned to build a Model X dining table with one leg in our farmhouse. But we return to the simplicity of the more minimal basis we chose. Choosing a wooden modern geometric design for the table You may have noticed that our table top is snug against the accent wall in the guest bedroom in another part of our house. I love finding ways to make small connections. Between the gaps without a clear match I just felt that it made the overall design of the house more cohesive.

* Wood Buying Tips: Choose your wood carefully. Check each one for straightness and if you use different colored wood. Make sure the panel you choose has the color you want on the tabletop.
When the table top is assembled and the glue has dried. Now it's time to cut out the circles. In the end, we found that the best way to do this is to draw a perfect circle with a house hex. And cut it freely with a jigsaw I thought a router would be a good tool to cut a circle, but we didn't, and renting it seemed like too much trouble. And we have a jig saw. So we use it
First of all, we tried to make a jigsaw puzzle for Jigsaw, and indeed, Jigsaw puzzles work very well in theory. He holds the jigsaw in place and moves in a full circle. Unfortunately we didn't do this because I think the wood we used was too thick for the jig saw blade to handle the jig. This is because the blade continues to bend and create an angle instead of cutting straight. We cut it free and it works really well! We were worried we wouldn't be able to cut it all the way through, but we did and it wasn't that hard if you slowed it down. Be steady and don't try to cut too fast. In the picture below I'm going to show you the template we made because the idea works so well. And whether with softwood or plywood/mdf or less than our 1 1/2 inch hardwood boards, this template will be great. Solution to cut the circle

I wanted to do something special to challenge my skills while setting the table in my home for my family to enjoy for years to come. After about three months of hustle and bustle on weekends and evenings, I built this 68 inch round dining table. Enough space to accommodate eight adults. And there are connected bases and bases. And seamless joints throughout the round tabletop. Additionally, the stain is made up of two different colors to complement the plain white pine of this tabletop.
I've learned in the past from building desks that wood from a home improvement center isn't the best for furniture making. Whether it's a farmhouse table on purpose. General supercenter timber is suitable for construction and framing. So it's hard to find quality boards. And that means you spend valuable time making and organizing boards with flaws, wood chips, rolls, and bad knots.
I decided to find a local wood shop for this table. And immediately noticed two big differences compared to Home Center: 1) the quality of the wood was much better, and 2) the customer service was excellent for a woodworking newbie like myself.
