If you have a Cricut machine, it’s easy to make and will add a “cherry top” feel to your table. A Cricut machine is a great investment if you want to get crafty and make your own stencils. I’m excited to be back with another post in collaboration with one of my favorite tools, the Cricut! I enjoy doing DIY wedding projects using this awesome machine.
In celebration of the upcoming wedding season, I’ve teamed up with Cricut to put together an easy DIY project that you can make for your big day. This project includes Cricut wedding cards that you can customize for any wedding event.

I decided to push the Cricut Explore to its full creative potential to show how to Print + Cut, Stamp, *and* write with a pen! The result is a simple but beautiful card perfect for any wedding theme.

There are tons of markers and stencils to use with your Cricut so you can create all kinds of amazing projects. For this project, I created a nice map in Illustrator and saved it as an SVG. To create the project, you need to download the file.

Below, I’ll explain how you can use your Cricut Scanner to print, cut, score, and design your own party card! Let’s dive into it.
Free Printable Christmas Place Cards
Go to the Cricut Design Center and upload a card template, then paste it into your home. The file is organized with tables that you can use in the drawing area. Once you have entered it, you want to select the image and “UnGroup” it by clicking on the button at the bottom right.
Set the table and diamond to “Click” instead of cut. You can feel free to choose the color of your choice – you are not limited to using purple as I designed! Choose a color that suits your theme.
Now you want to set the white color of the card to “Print” (feel the change again to change the color you want!) Then select the diamond and the white color and press the “Flatten” button in the bottom right . edge. This will make the diamond even on the table in one piece so don’t try to cut the diamond.
How To Make Cards With Cricut Joy
Now you want to set the score line to “Score” instead of cut. This will create a line to make it easier for your cards to fold. After that, you can select one of the other three sections and “Put” together. This tells your Cricut to make this project one-size-fits-all.
From here, you can start adding posts! Place the guests’ names in the white space on one half of the place card. Then place the table number in the center of the diamond. You can use horizontal bars in text tools to help you align each section of text.
You’ll want to select “Contains Fonts” in the design field for best results. I chose to use the Cricut font since it’s free, but you can choose any font you want because they’re all cheap! So if you want to write style, you can choose the font to use for your cards.

Once you have entered all your numbers and names, you can now put all the text together, and create a logo page. It ties everything together so your Cricut knows how to make your project exactly as it appears on your screen! Be sure to double-check the table to make sure everything is set to the text function, be it Print, Score, Cut, or Write!
Once your file is complete, press GO and write your cards. Then place the screen printed page and insert it into the Cricut Explore Air.
Make sure the pen is on, then press the GO button on your device. Your machine will discount and give you gift cards. When it’s done, your device will pause to allow you to place the pen in the device on your device. Once you have a pen, press GO!

Then use your Cricut pen to write your guests’ names and table numbers on the place cards!
After the machine is finished, remove the mat and carefully remove the card. You can easily switch the cards in half on the winning line and the diamond shape will pop up. Very good!!
You will want to repeat the process until you have filled out place cards for each person on the guest list. Be sure to change the table numbers on each page to match the tables at your wedding! This process is a bit complicated if you have a lot of guests and you need to make a map for free, but it is definitely worth it, especially if you are going for a traditional look and you can’t hire a professional.!
