I bought a new Craftsman router and wanted a router table to set it on and decided to make my own.
How To Build A Simple Router Table
I modeled my design in Solidworks so I had a set of plans to work with. I made the top and rails from 3/4 inch plywood left over from another project, and the legs from 2x4s.
Router Table Jigs For Better Results
The legs are designed to use one 12-inch 2×4 for each leg, then a 12-inch piece split in the middle to create a cross member.
I wanted my switch to be vertical, so I cut part of the angle (about an 8 degree angle) to fit between the box and the leg. If you don’t mind the tilt of the switch, you can skip this step.
Overall I like how it came out and it works well for my use, if you have any comments or suggestions please leave them.
