I started by getting 3/4 thick Baltic birch plywood from the wood cart. The size of your fixture will depend on the size of your table and what you plan to do with it. Furniture leg beveling, plywood cutting and cornering, edge straightening, etc.
I personally cut 8″ strips for the base and 2″ strips for the fence. You will also need a small piece of wood to cut.
. I used scraps of maple left over from old floorboards, but almost any hardwood will do.

First, I used the router to make a groove that was wide enough and shallow enough for the screw head to be under the surface. I made one at each end of the board and was careful not to go all the way to the edge leaving gaps on both sides.
You will also need a small straight or threaded bit for the bolt size you are using. If the router is not fixed, I make a groove in another hole this time and do it on both sides.
I then identified where the fence would cross the walkway in the foundation and drew a rough line. Then cut it using the same spiral nozzle.
How To Make A Four Sided Tapering Jig For Your Tablesaw
Some are still on the drill table, so I used a simple clamp, a toilet seat, and a star knob for this jig.
Now that all the slots have been cut, the table can be assembled. I put the bolts in the bottom of the bathroom through the nails, through the foundation and up through the fence. I added a washer to the hole before tightening the star knob.
Then I marked out where to install the clamps and then made a few pilot holes before screwing them. I know this may seem obvious, but make sure the screws are short enough so they don’t break through the bottom. I used #12 3/4″ pan head screws.

First I put a few cents in the hole at an angle to slightly lift the hardwood to make gluing easier. Then just apply a few coats of Gorilla Glue to the hard leather.
TIP: You only need the wood to attach here, so don’t force the glue all over the saw blade and jig base.
I then drilled some pilot holes and countersunk it to hide all the screw heads. Then I hold the screws with a screwdriver so that the wood does not break.
How To Cut A Taper On A Table Saw [super Easy Way]
All that remains is to attach the sled from the guide blade to the center of the angle to cut the edges and zero the gap.
The last bit we added is the metal stop at the end of the fence. This is done regularly to cut when the legs are narrow. The lever clamp actually holds the tree securely.
To use the jig, mark the line you want to cut and move that line to the edge of the board. Then fix these marks with the edge of the fixture, clamp it to the fence and cut it.

But first, let’s talk about whether you should do it yourself. Making a DIY fixture makes sense to me because it saves me money and gives me more options. Let’s go through the steps to cut all the details using a DeWalt table saw and miter saw. The new cone fixture / woodworking sled is then assembled and tested.
Cut a notch in the width of the T-track about 5 inches from each end of the base board. Poke them in different places and sand into the plywood surface to avoid scratching the table saw.
Using 1/2 inch thick plywood, cut the guides at an angle so they slide into the holes without matching. It should satisfy the table of about 1/16 of an inch. It should be 48 inches long.

Now insert the guide into the groove and use CA glue. Then use the accelerator on the bottom of the base where the instructions will touch. Then, using the table top stop as the instructions, place the base over the instructions and press for 30 seconds. When installed, the base should touch the strip.
Remove the material from the saw, drill and Countersink hole. Now screw the nail to the base. Make sure the screw head is below the center of the guide to avoid scratching the table saw.
Place the fence on the base and mark where the T-rail will be under the fence. Then drill a 1 1/2″ hole on both sides of the mark you just made, the hole should be a little bigger than the fastener for the door lock, now connect the hole with the jigsaw create a hole.
Jointing Tapered Legs
Now secure the end of the fence using a piece of wood as shown.
Mark the hole location for all the clamps. Pre-drill the screw holes. Snap the clamp into place.
Decide where to place the cart handle and mark the location. Then cut a 6″ piece of 1 1/2″ dowel. Pre-drill the countersunk hole where the handle will be installed, then screw the handle into the base. Make sure the screw heads are under the base to avoid scratching the table saw.
