First, make two boxes for each leg assembly. These are attached across the horizontal board and vertical board with wood glue and 2.5″ pocket hole screws, you want your pocket hole to face the outside of the box in this section because we will cover it with a banner in the next section. Now add the decorative pieces to the top and bottom. These edges are cut at a 45˚ angle and attached to each assembly with wood glue and 2.5″ wood screws through each decorative piece and into the legs.

Then put it in the box and attach the X pieces across the box and at each end with wood glue and nails.

To make the board, we use our craig jig to make 1.5″ pocket holes on one side of 4 of our 5 long boards, and on both ends of all 5 boards. The first 5 is 2,5″. next to each other with pocket screws, and then attach the breadboards with 2.5″ pocket screws.

Do the table shelf assembly in the same way! Attach all three plates together using 2.5 inch screws. Don't forget to put a pocket hole on each end to attach the legs later.

The last step is to add the top on the side of the table! Attach the top evenly to the base. Lower the top face to the ground and attach the base across the horizontal runner with wood glue and 2.5-inch wood screws. You can also add 2-3 inch nails along the top and base.

When I finished the full assembly, I stained the table with Varathane Briarsmoke stain and mixed it with semi-natural finish to cool it down a bit. I did a 50/50 mix. Just eating is good. This is my favorite color combination at the moment. You can find it here on Amazon.
