I had a GFCI combo outlet and replaced the one that went wrong in my bathroom. The detector worked even when there was no light. I bought a new GFCI combo switch and outlet. Several electricians came to install it. No one has been able to get both to work, only the light worked, not the center. I also went to an electrician yesterday, they removed the cables and now the lights don’t go out.

Please post a picture of the wires coming from the wall. I think your original switch was an unprotected RCD+ outlet, the new one is an RCD+ protected RCD outlet. Do you have the same thing but with a smart switch? It’s in the garage with the fridge plugged in and a light switch above it. You want to order a lamp, but you leave it in the fridge.

I installed this same switch in our kitchen to turn off the power to the coffee maker and toaster.

It is installed on power lines that have a 20A GFCI (top) and another standard outlet (bottom) and is still working fine after about 12 months.

You must follow the instructions on the included notes to connect the lines below, whether you want them changed or not (all options are available).
