I’m comfortable cutting all the straight lines with the jig saw, but if you’re worried about not cutting straight with the jig saw, you can use a circular saw until you get to the curved parts.
Print this diagram and cut it out to mark the back panels (37 1/2 inch one by four boards). Place your one by four and decide the order you want. I always want to be intentional about laying out my boards in a pattern: make any color changes look like a wise choice rather than an accident.
