Is it OK to use two different universal cables on the main outlet, one to the outlet and one to the junction box?
I installed a replacement electrical outlet. (UK 3-pin twin socket with USB port). Only the front plate and mounting box remain.
I have a wiring diagram below. The diagram shows two ground wires from the ring line to the outlet and a separate wire to the mounting rail.
My question is, since these two cables are grounded, can one be used for the outlet and the other for the mounting box? Or does it matter that they both run to the outlet first?

It is not enough to use screws as a joint [this is what you see doing in the picture]. The ring should actually be grounded at the end, but that’s probably to break continuity, which isn’t safe. The ring has a built-in reset function, so don’t accidentally remove it.
