“You are, probably,” protested Luka and quickly left the room for the kitchen. He smelled the son, not the sound. Luca carefully made an espresso, but didn’t look back. Between the warm and edible aroma of mac and fresh coffee, Luca wanted to cry with great joy, but he held it back.
“I decided to leave the office. You were right. Again,” muttered Mac as he went. Luke held his breath. I slowly turned around and saw those wonderful green eyes staring into his face. Suddenly I felt heat in my ears. He sips his espresso to draw attention to himself and frowns sincerely.

Troublemaker is a series of back-and-forth jokes and button-pushing between two men who seem to be trying too hard to fight each other before they inevitably give up. An enjoyable light read, Mac is brutal and in charge of all his business, there is no room for downtime. Luca wants to start her own business as an event planner, but is struggling since Mack left his assistant, so she agrees to temporarily work as Mack’s assistant as a favor to a friend. Their relationship has been a bit rocky in the past, either because she’s a bit contradictory in nature or because of their overall chemistry. I really enjoyed this book. This was my first work with this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The storyline was very interesting and the characters were likeable. I enjoyed watching Luca challenge Mac to get out of his comfort zone. I am very interested in the setting of the next book about Cal and hope to read more of this author’s work in the future. Mack and Luke are like water and oil. They have a mutual friend and care for each other very much. They have an attraction that neither wants to face. However, Mack has trouble finding an assistant to work, and Wes tries to help Mac when Luca stays at his friend Wes’ house and Wes and Riker on their honeymoon. How closely they work together helps them live up to their strong chemistry. Understand that they love each other. However, Luca wants a family and Mac is born. I’m not sure if I want a family because my parents got me burned when I was out. They get along really well and it was nice to see them have to take steps to be together. It was a fun story to read. I gave them a solid 4.5 stars.
