Such an image requires an enormous amount of work: I have previously discussed the mechanics of lighting horological images in this three-part series (starting here ). Honestly, I wanted to shoot some more setups and B-roll for another task post, but the simple truth is that I’m usually so busy shooting that I don’t have time. Instead, I want to talk about the amount of work behind the scenes.

It takes about half an hour to set up the lighting for the first shot, a few minutes to set up and then you’re ready to go. But before that there is about half an hour of cleaning and dusting for every hour; You want to remove as much dust, fingerprint oil, etc. as possible to reduce retouching time. In general, something that looks a bit harsh in web size will often turn out to be a real detail – you can remove this, and I often do for small versions, but I’ll use it in full-resolution images. A good example is the texture of the dial: the “S” of the manufacturer’s name is in the crystal and again on the back of the dial, and the letters are very legible. It looks great in large prints – and things like these are usually wall size or larger*.
*Note: The reason there is so much space around the clock is because these images are often used for ads or double page spreads, and we need to leave room for text and one line.

This is just one of the 130 photos I took on that shoot alone; Commercial solutions for this type of photography are not only high, because it is not easy to do (try to light a completely reflected object in such a way that it has a web direction, and also has a diffusion to avoid extreme reflections) – but at the same time shoot only the tip of the iceberg; A good rule of thumb is that I budget for an hour of shooting

As wilderness history has evolved and our culture has gained more attention and recognition in mainstream society, questions and concerns have arisen about camp growth, relevance or exclusivity, interactivity needs, and the implementation process. How can stocks grow and change? Where are we, plug and play or comfortable camping? What path do we take for the next 5-10 years?
To answer these questions and guide the Black Rock City team in the future, we had to look. We needed a clear, actionable vision that would provide direction without being too prescriptive. We need a vision to inspire us as individuals, leaders, citizens and group members. We needed a vision that came from the wisdom of our community, not the opinion of a few.
After months of hard work and community feedback, we’re excited to share this vision with you. This vision will set the cultural direction of Black Rock City housing for the next five to 10 years.

Over the past nine months, you, the global Burning Man community, have shared your concerns, experiences, hopes and thoughts with the Cultural Steering Group. These 19 citizens of Black Rock City, which included camp leaders, staff, community members, local liaisons and board members, wrote many insights and coordinated this vision. In surveys, interviews, community chat, online responses and live input sessions, we heard a lot. If you want to learn more about the community engagement feedback process, see the appendix at the end.
This vision solves many of the cultural problems that we face in life in Black Rock City. The field of vision is the city itself – where we live, the culture of the camps, and how we as people and as camps affect the city. We are talking about all camps and camps – theme camps, villages, outdoor camps, picnic camps, mutant transition camps, art support camps, department camps, staff camps and work support camps.
We wrote the revelation from the point of view of “us” and “we” is not just the point of view of the people who wrote it. The vision comes from the contribution of our community. Fulfilling this vision is everyone’s duty. “We” means all of us.
We have also seen written in the present tense. Some of what is written has yet to happen… This is something we want to be true. This is where we are going. Continue reading with future glasses.

For example, one of the main cultural concerns we heard was about plug-and-play or comfort camping. Share a vision that we want to be around this problem in the future. In the next phase of this project, the implementation team will focus on developing a proper approach to this issue and validate the standards used to evaluate the warehouse from this perspective.
