Unless otherwise noted, all images were colored with gel pencils or colored pencils. I prefer to paint large areas with crayons and then paint more difficult areas with pens. I highlight my Bibles with gel markers, and I often use gelatin or paint.

I officially colored each page and then I thought, “What now?” I decided not to start with a new Bible, but to try something else and share it with you next month.

Some illustrations in the Bible that motivate me like to paint more than others, and this is one of them. I’m more attracted to the weird and the understated. I really like this verse and illustration, and I think it shows in the colors I chose: bright and cheerful. Christ’s death on the cross is eternal… past, present and future sin for all.
This is a great article to say to yourself and others right now. Don’t worry, God bless! It’s really hard not to worry, isn’t it? Every time I hear a new report or go shopping and see how little money I have these days, I can get anxious. I have to immediately throw this worry to God, because He cares for me.
Such a beautiful title page for the beginning of 2 Peter. His greatest joy is not his own, his possessions, his travels, or his entertainment (as we do today), but the spiritual health of his children is his greatest joy.

I’m really excited to get to the book of Revelation, especially since it seems like we’re living in the apocalypse right now. Ha ha! Many people see the book of Revelation as a scary book, but I find it very comforting, especially the last chapters. Soon we will see Him from the clouds!
One of the reasons the book of Revelation is so comforting is that it contains so many beautiful views of Heaven like this one. I read about these heavenly visions and closed my eyes and tried to imagine what it was like. It will be fun! I can not wait!

Many people today think that there are many paths to heaven. A nun at the university even told me that she believed that there is only one God behind all the world’s religions, and therefore all religions lead to heaven. That’s not what the word says. Salvation comes only from Jesus.
I hope the pages of this month’s Bible Journal have encouraged you. Next month, I will finish the book of Revelation and the Inspirational Bible, and then I will share what I want to do next in my Bible journal.
Oh, I can’t believe August is almost over and September is next week. 😢 Summer will soon be over. I felt it especially this year which had the worst spring on record. It never seemed to warm up and then we really didn’t travel much this summer because we needed to renovate our big backyard so it wasn’t the best summer for us. If you think you haven’t received a patio message, you’re wrong. I probably won’t share it until next year but it’s not done yet…it’s almost done but I just don’t want to share pictures until the last details are done and I’ve finished it. You will love it! That is very good.
As usual, Black-Eyed Susan overshadows my entire garden in late summer. I love this flower. If I could choose one perfect immortal, it would be this one. They produce large flowers and bloom for a long time. They are easy to breed, as you may have noticed, since they are everywhere in my yard, but I wouldn’t call them invasive. If you don’t want to plant everywhere, just cut off any wilted flowers before planting. I left my seeds because the birds really like them.

The “Magic Lilies” appear again… like magic. If you don’t know anything about these plants, in the spring they produce only leaves, then the leaves die, and in the fall the pink stems appear amazingly … nothing leaves; is that cute?
Another flower in the Rudebeckia family, it is about five feet taller than its cousin the Black Ide Susan. I only have a small area at the bottom of my page because it’s so long. I think this is the most suitable position for the height. I had this plant this year and it was the best year yet. Usually a storm or two knocks them down, but until recently most of the plants stood strong, tall and very productive. I wanted to take a better picture, but for some reason I couldn’t take a good picture.
My host’s garden. I love this park. It’s really careless. The large plants keep out most of the weeds, and all I have to do is cut off the wilted flower stalks.

My “Septic Garden” (yes, it’s a septic tank full of flowers so my husband doesn’t have to mow it) is probably the best garden I have right now. I think it’s a combination of the nutrients it gets from the sewage and it’s the only garden in my yard that gets the most sun. I have wild orange daylilies in my garden and they really catch me… and that’s okay! That means I have less work to do! In the end, I’m sure of it
