One of Jeff and Rebecca’s questions was about changing the name of the podcast. This is an Xbox podcast. I started the podcast 15 years ago. I think you were still in Syracuse then, Rebecca?

Larry: Anyway, when I started the podcast, it was the Major Nelson podcast. And we moved in the last year. This is the Xbox Podcast because it’s more official. And so I wanted to get it there somehow. Anyway, you’ll see this name on Spotify and Apple Music. And Jeff, you already saw it because you and I talked about it. I made those changes.
Jeff: Yeah, I looked into it. You’ve actually changed, I feel like it was about a year ago. I have an iPad. I like having it here for chatting and stuff. And I went to add it. I typed podcast xbox and it goes to podcast xbox which is fine. This is Jeez and Rand al Thor, great show. It’s not one, and then I looked and it was under Major Nelson. Hopefully, for other people who are asking, hey, is there an Xbox podcast? This is a. Sorry. that’s amazing
Larry: But we’re getting there anyway. So here we are. What are you playing? Let’s start with Rebecca. You were telling us how many games you tried before we started recording.
Rebecca: Yeah, so after last week’s episode, I really wanted to try Rain on Your Parade. It looked very funny and my best friend came. And it’s not a gamer, but I found the controls easy enough to get into. He was a bit nervous because the last game I played with him was overcooked. And I think we all know the game can get a little heated.

Rebecca: Yes. But we enjoyed it a lot. We took turns. it was fun. And then I tried Call of the Sea for myself. I was inspired to take a tour and see what’s new in Game Pass. And the graphics are interesting, it’s like low-res Moana with Bioshock. And it is a mystery, mystery and puzzle game. And so far it’s been great, so I recommend it. And it was free on Game Pass.
Larry: I had the programmer on. That was a few months ago, wasn’t it, Jeff? About three or four months ago.
Larry: Anyway, yeah, it’s a beautiful game, and like you said, both of the titles you mentioned are on Game Pass. I want to talk about Rain on Your Parade because it’s one of those games where it’s clear that it’s not a two-player game. You have passed it on to the controller.
Larry: And that’s another thing. You said your friend doesn’t play much, that we all have friends who don’t play. It’s a little harder when you give them.

Larry: It’s like looking at all the buttons and levers and pads and triggers. And how can I keep this thing? Many people will probably laugh and say, “Oh sure, I know how to control myself.” But yes, try it sometime. Leave it to someone else

Jeff: Yeah, well, the party is a one-size-fits-all package where the controls are your phone. And so there are many games like that, Jeopardy. I like danger. What can I say though, LaVar Burton should host. I know. They tried many people. I think it was this week
Jeff: Anderson Cooper. And he was one of the best. So no, Laver Burton, I want him to be the permanent host. There seems to be movement on Twitter, so let’s hope so. Anyway, there’s a risk… it’s called Play Jeopardy, but you’re actually using your phone and voice chat. And you buzz like that. And this device, the controller, seems to some people who are not going to get into it. Another way to do it is what I did. My children were four years old. I said, “This is the controller, I’ll see you in a few hours, you’ll understand.”

Larry: You know what? You’re absolutely right. I mean, Minecraft is… and I explained it. I think I have explained this in previous programs. It is this generation’s playground in terms of where they go, play and create. This is a virtual sandbox. When we all grew up it was about playing in the woods and learning how to be good and play and play. Anyway, that’s [crosstalk 00:05:55]
Jeff: Well, no, it’s also, hey, get off my server, okay? It’s the same. There are moral dilemmas like being on a server and getting a diamond sword. Give it back, should I keep it? Should I bury the evidence? And then yesterday, whenever I was done and my kid got out of school, I went upstairs and he was playing Minecraft. And he was going through the list of achievements trying to get all the achievements. And I was like, “You’re getting a raise.”
Jeff: I was so proud. You have no idea. Minecraft has also added many achievements. Some are like teasing a tree. I have it on the switch. I have it on Windows 10. I have it twice on xbox. I got it in a few different places, but there’s a lot of new stuff, including all the new stuff that’s been added to Minecraft. Oh I forgot now what is the best super high armor in the game right now? He is out of diamond armor. After all, you are using ancient waste. It’s coming back to me. Anyway, there’s a lot of new stuff here. Wait, what is that?
Jeff: So if you play a long time, at one point you can buy 1K, just stuff that was in the game six, seven, eight years ago, and now all the new stuff that was there before. Added to the game. And it’s just amazing. The complete batch contains honey and bees. Working with the Shalkar Khans. I don’t know. It’s amazing how much is added to this game every six months to a year. I love the extra achievements.

Rebecca: Yeah, we always said, “Minecraft 2 is never going to happen.” They don’t exist to be. We just keep updating it.

Rebecca: Yes, I tried that too, tell me why? I’ve never played it before, but now that I’m playing it, I mean, I loved The Walking Dead, The Telltale Walking Dead, and it’s kind of similar. So yeah, I’ve been playing a lot of story games lately.
