(wow) Words Of Wonders Level 1658 Answers – I was looking at some of the new 7 Wonders of the World lists the other day and realized that Dave and I were on all of them. I did some more research to find out that we have visited most of the 7 wonders of the natural world and even visited the only remaining ancient wonder of the world.

We are so lucky to see these wonders of the world with our own eyes, and we want you to too. Traveling was our dream for almost two decades before we started working on travel blogging, photography and videography. We've seen a lot since then. So, on a bit of a whim today, I thought I'd share my thoughts on some of the 7 Wonders of the World we saw.

The New 7 Wonders of the World began in 2000 when The New 7 Wonders Foundation (N7W), a based in Zurich, Switzerland, decided to start a campaign to name the New 7 Wonders. Since only one of the true wonders of the ancient world still exists, that makes sense. Over 100 million votes were cast (this was before bots started playing online, so I believe most were real people) and in 2007 it was declared the new Seven Wonders of the World.

It was not without controversy. Many disagreed with the results. But when the votes were cast, miracles happened. We have visited them all and I must admit, we agree with most of them. There are other amazing places in the world, but the place below definitely filled us with wonder.

We visited several ancient cities before heading to Petra. We thought we had seen it all until we walked the 1.2 km long zigzag (a narrow canyon with towering rock walls rising 80 meters into the air) to the amazing Treasury building. The ride was good, but when we got to the entrance in the middle of the canyon, we gasped in fear. This ancient wonder has been hidden from the outside world for centuries. It was only discovered in 1812 by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burkard. Since then, the Lost City has become a major tourist attraction in Jordan.

We were lucky enough to visit the Great Wall of China not once, but twice! We were on both sides of the Muianyu Wall and Badaling Great Wall. Both were equally impressive. We definitely feel that the Great Wall of China lives up to its inspiration. Stretching for miles across the hills, the area is breathtaking. We enjoyed Badaling near Beijing despite the crowds. Built in the 7th century, the wall stretches for nearly 9,000 kilometers.

Rio de Janeiro is one of our favorite cities in the world. Christ the Redeemer stands proudly on the hill overlooking the city and is visible from all sides. The most amazing experience we had was taking a helicopter out the door to see Christ the Redeemer from above. of the statue of Jesus on Corcovado Mountain began in 1926. At 30 meters tall, it is a monumental work and has helped make Rio the most popular tourist destination on the planet.

Penance And Renewal

We have always dreamed of visiting an Italian theatre. When we finally got to Rome, not only did we get to see it, but we stayed in an amazing apartment next to this amazing door with a view of the ruins. Built in the 1st century, this theater has a bloody history. Animals were used and abused here, and it is estimated that half a million people and nearly a million animals died within its walls. Today he stands in the ruins and sees no more bloodshed. Instead, many tourists visit here every year, more than 6 million people!

When we first arrived at Machu Picchu in Peru, it was overcast. I will never forget Dave's face. He was depressed. It was the only time we visited this wonder of the world and we were not going to see it! Fortunately, as the morning progressed, the skies opened up and we were treated to a spectacular view of this ancient city high up in the Andes. Discovered by the Western world in 1911, the Inca city is believed to have been inhabited in the 1600s. Machu Picchu deserves to be on this list because of its spectacular location. At an altitude of 2,400 meters, the city slopes down to the valley below. How they built these buildings on the side of the mountain hundreds of years ago is beyond me, but if you saw it today you would be surprised.

Chichen Itza was the first of the New Wonders of the World that Dave and I visited. In fact, our trip to Mexico in 1999 was one of the first international trips we took together. I'll never forget the friend who told me to go, and I'm glad we listened. You can still walk in the old pyramid and it was awe-inspiring. We understood why they closed it to tourists, it was cold and scary, but it was also an experience we will never forget. The Mayan city of Chichen Itza is located on the Yucatan Peninsula and dates back to the 9th century. It is closely related to astronomy, and buildings are built to correspond to the summer and winter equinoxes. The Great Pyramid has 365 steps and a platform dedicated to Venus.

India's Taj Mahal was the least favorite of the New Seven Wonders we visited, but it's still impressive to look at. We never wrote about our time there because we didn't like Agra or the Taj. Obviously many people do not agree with us because he was chosen as one of the seven. The Taj Mahal is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture. Since it was written in 1658, it is considered a beautiful love story. King Shahjahan built it for his wife. He died in 1631, three years after starting , but continued to honor his memory.

The Taj Mahal is beautiful and we lined up early in the morning to be the first people. We took a quick cue by the reflecting pool and then made a mad dash to see it without the crowds. I will be back to give him a second chance. Like many others, I can love him.

This is our experience of the New Seven Wonders of the World. What do you think; what do you think Do you agree with that list? Wherever you've been, we'd love to hear your thoughts.

Before we leave you, we thought we'd share our experiences of other wonders of the world. As we dug deeper, we saw that there are a lot of miracle lists out there, so let's dig deeper, shall we?

Australia's Great Barrier Reef is not only a natural wonder, but also a protected UNESCO World Heritage site. This 344,000 square kilometer underwater park in Queensland, Australia is very impressive. From Port Douglas we took a helicopter to the dive platform to see the massive reef system from above and below the surface. The Great Barrier Reef is a huge reef, made up of 2,900 reefs with 900 islands.

While cycling through Africa we had the opportunity to visit Victoria Falls. We had two days off at Moshi That Thunders, the longest bike race in the world.
