(wow) Words Of Wonders Level 436 Answers – Victoria and Michael invite you to join Explora I on their maiden voyage…Norway, Denmark and the Arctic Circle

Some time ago we were asked to advise on a new product: a fleet unmatched in every way, exceeding all the expectations of ocean travelers, while catering to the most refined hotels and fine resorts. We are now at the beginning of a new century in sea travel, defined by ships, crew members and practices that set new standards.

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to be among those to experience the maiden voyage of the first of these ships,

Power To The People — The Hippo — 12/15/22 By The Hippo

, and we invite you to join us on a truly unforgettable cruise. We plan to leave Southampton, England on July 17, 2023 and head north to the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle, ending our journey in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Explora I offers exceptional accommodations in luxurious suites, carefully prepared meals at its seven restaurants, and private exploration as you visit the many ports of call on this scenic voyage.

We look forward to returning to this wonderful part of the world. The memories of our first trip to Norway are still indelible… the sparkling water, amazing fjords and unique historic settlements made it one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We were living in England at the time, and one evening we met a couple and their young daughter who lived not far from our home in Oxfordshire. We became fast friends and visited each other in the US and England over the years. Experiences like these have led us to choose this profession, which allows us to experience the world in a unique way and make lifelong connections with others.

It goes without saying that the places we visit are beautiful, but it’s equally important that every aspect of the trip is carefully planned. This sampling of dining options aboard Explora I gives an idea of the focus on excellence we’ll see during the launch:

Elan was “🎼 On the Road Again🎶” (with apologies to Willie Nelson). This time we changed it up a bit more than usual and toured the West by motorcycle. Among the things you may not know about us, Mike has been riding two wheels ever since his older brother, ten years older, gave him a Sears mini bike.

In the years since, Mike … and to a lesser extent Victoria … have logged many miles on motorcycles, although Victoria still prefers airplanes and limousines.

Crazy Parents Travel

Travel methods aside, now that we’ve been to 100 foreign countries and every continent, it’s time to delve deeper into America’s treasures. Some of our reporters, indeed many Americans, have never had the opportunity to study our nation in detail. Few of our country’s scenic beauty can compare to the magic of the national parks in Arizona and Utah, so we begin our exploration of the Grand Canyon and continue north. We reached out to our partners at Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) and enlisted the help of their regional experts to provide hotels and travel to and from each park.

We won’t go into detail here (though we’d love to have a glass of wine one day), but we wanted to share the highlights. We traveled with a couple who started as clients a few years ago and have now become great friends. Mike and Kathy grew up in Kentucky and Chicago, respectively. They have a large family, have a wide range of interests and are travelers. And like us, they rode on two wheels. However, neither Victoria nor Cathy had much interest in touring the Great Plains on two wheels, opting to fly to Flagstaff instead. The two Mikes met at Elan’s northern outpost in Wisconsin and fortified themselves first with steak and scotch before heading west the next morning. In three days and about 1,600 miles, they crossed the United States on their way to Flagstaff. While the Midwest doesn’t necessarily offer majestic mountains, it does offer an ever-changing landscape of fields, flowers, and grassy forests, as well as a guarantee of friendly faces when the intrepid hiker arrives.

There’s never a shortage of opportunities to chat with strangers when traveling on two wheels. Most people will tell you that they’ve also ridden motorcycles or been “in the sun”. And for the non-motorcycle folks, our BMW and Harley-Davidson motorcycles have attracted a lot of interest. As we made our way from the rolling fields of Iowa to the hills and high deserts of the West, we could clearly see a rekindling of the spirit of discovery among Americans and foreigners alike. Some of these adventures were in that direction.

Two Mikes arrived in Flagstaff, checked into our hotel, and spent the first night exploring downtown. Flagstaff is a lovely town full of fun shops, cafes and a variety of restaurants. The two Mikes eventually settled on a Thai restaurant that served great food and Thai beer.

The Holy Post

The next day, the real fun began. Victoria and Katie flew from Chicago to Flagstaff to join the “boys.” After spending some time in downtown Flagstaff, we made our way to the Lowell Observatory, located uptown. Our guide, a young woman planetary science expert, took us on a short tour of the facility, then accompanied us to the Dyer Telescope for a mind-bending tour of the Solar System and Milky Way. It was truly awe-inspiring, but not the first time on our journey that we encountered the immensity and beauty of nature.

The next morning we were picked up by our guide Andrew and taken to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. However, before we started exploring on foot, we headed to the waiting helicopter for our hour-long flight over the Grand Canyon. Even at speeds of 130 knots (about 150 mph), it seems to barely glide over the vast terrain. By the time we landed it was time for lunch… a picnic at the rim of the canyon.

The day continued with a hike, a glass of wine with a sunset view of the canyon, and a drive back to Flagstaff.

The next day we headed north to enjoy a 4WD/hike (spectacular!), an unparalleled dining experience, and then headed our bikes to Zion National Park and Cliffrose Lodge. It was fun until we reached the entrance to Zion, and while the 104º on two wheels was a personal experience, the scenery was otherworldly. Arriving at Cliffrose, we settled into our rooms, hydrated, and then walked a few blocks to prepare for the next morning’s walk through The Narrows.

At this point it should be noted that the staff at Cliffrose were excellent. They catered to our every need and were happy to take us to local spots while we were there. Really great service.

The next few days saw us move from spectacular scenery to spectacular scenery as we visited Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. In between, we’ve sampled the unique culinary delights of the West and know that at least one future resort must become a top destination for discerning travelers.

Each garden was unique. In Zion we drove through the big mountains on the way to the hotel and followed it through The Narrows the next day.

At the top of the Escalante Stairs, Bryce Canyon offers otherworldly landscapes (stunning rock formations) and some of the most breathtaking views imaginable.

Capitol Reef introduced us to a vast canyon landscape and … big surprise … the best pie you can imagine.

Arches delight with giant rock formations that have been transformed into amazing arches by the forces of nature over thousands of years. It was here… away from the crowd that we saw many dinosaur tracks next to the jeep tracks.

Most of the highlights on this trip came from the exceptional guides we had through A&K. Our guide to the Grand Canyon was a young man with an encyclopedic knowledge of the park’s history.
