How To Make A Large Bean Bag Chair
Ingredients: 2 sheets of fabric (cover cloth preferred), 1 22-inch zipper, 3.5 cubic yards of bean bag filler

1. Cut two pieces of fabric 45 x 32 inches. The fabric is the same, or you can choose a coordination pattern to create a two-tone look.
2. Turn the right sides together. Use a zig-zag stitch on the long raw edge to prevent splitting. Then sew the same edge evenly. Because of the amount of abuse this stitch gets, we recommend using a shorter stitch length for durability.
5. When you unfold the fabric, you should have a nice symmetrical curve on one side. Fold the raw edge in a zigzag and again close it using a straight stitch.

6. Open the remaining unsewn edges. Keeping the right sides together, fold in half in the opposite direction as shown below.
7. Sew a 22-inch zipper through the center of this opening. I used an invisible zipper to make it less noticeable when finished.
9. Turn the beanbag chair upside down and fill it with beans! This highchair requires one bag of filler (3.5 cubic meters or 100 liters) to give you a perfect feeling of satiety. There’s no easy way to get that little static crazy ball in there without spilling. My best tip is to have two people zip open and a third person pour the water. Oh, and keep the vacuum cleaner on standby!

1. Measure and cut a circle. Starting with the insert, cut out two circles with a circumference of 170 inches. Fold the fabric so that you can cut 2 sheets at a time.
The easiest way to measure is the radius of a circle that is 27″. Cut a piece of string about 40 inches long and tie one end to a pencil or flat hammer. This will be the center point.
Tie the other end to a chalk or cloth pencil so that the string is exactly 27 cm from one end to the other. Find the approximate center of the area on the fabric where you want to trace the circle and hold the swivel end there. Stretch the string until it is taut, then draw a perfect circle with chalk. Cut out two circles.

2. Measure and cut a rectangle. Measure and cut two 87″ long by 32″ wide rectangles from each type of fabric.
3. Sew one end of the rectangle together. Using the right side together, pin and sew the two rectangles across the short side (32″). You now have one long rectangle that measures 32″ wide by 170+” long. Do this for each type of fabric.
