No, I used this table mainly for photography, organizing and creating art. The first two had no problem with uneven surfaces, but you had to get creative with painting or modeling. My solution: a lightweight, very stiff board that won’t scratch the vintage barn door tabletop. After thinking about it, I bought the giant polyethylene cutting boards you see in commercial kitchens. The stiffness was for uneven surfaces (until he put it on top of one of the racks), the large size meant it made enough contact with the barn door jambs to keep it stable. As a bonus, the cutting board was untouched by my Exacto knife and I was able to cut accurately on the bench!
Hi…it’s me again. Okay…yeah…I’m a total math illiterate. I need some help… I used 32″ legs for my counter height table. Since the legs are angled… the height (at this angle) is less than 32″. Then I used a 3.75″ deep cross board. I have a 2″ thick door. Can you tell me the overall height of the table as a finished product? If you want the height of the table, this will help me estimate the length of the table legs. (I don’t know if my legs are straight up and down, how much difference in height there is at an angle vs saw clamps and in fully open condition.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!
