I was impressed by the teacher’s participation in the mini Adirondack chairs with wooden poles (e.g. popsicles). The chaos of summer and all the kids at home took me a little longer to pull myself together than I thought. And here it is: our step-by-step instructions for making beach chairs for a mini garden.

Let me know if you’re looking for something. -Jane I haven’t had many pictures of myself since I finished this project because it was so difficult to contain things and take pictures at the same time. I definitely need another hand. I didn’t want to wait until everything was completely dry before moving on to the next step, which made it more difficult. The parts came off twice because they didn’t dry before I moved them. So, in this project I forgot to take photos for you.

I’ve started painting all of my parts, but it’s best to wait until the end to paint everything. I had to go back and draw a few on the end anyway, like clipped ends. I painted my drachma blue. If I do anything else in the future, it will be with a sketched image. They paint the wood and occasionally wipe it down with a paper towel. There is a good effect.
I started by making the different parts of the chair, then glued the different parts together and finished with the extra parts. The first part I gave was the back of the chair. You want to levitate 5 popsicle sticks in a row. Then pin the corner of the popsicle so that the longest one in the middle gradually slopes down to the lower ones. Prove that both sides are equal. If you like the back, take a pencil and draw straight across the bottom of the popsicle sticks. My line is made to cut off the bottom half of the popsicle stick. Once you have a line, Popsicle will cut each stick along that line. After all of these are cut, insert the popsicle sticks into the back of the 5 cut popsicle sticks. This piece sticks on both sides so the glue tries to stick an equal amount on both sides. The rest of the arm is like that. This part is in the middle of my 5 popsicle sticks.
Next I built the bottom part of the chair. You will want to use some of the measurements you took when making this next part. You will need 5 more popsicle sticks. Yes, measure the back of the chair, which is what I just did, and cut these 5 popsicle sticks to the new length. To do this, I placed a popsicle stick on the chair and marked it with a pen. Since you don’t want to bend over those rounded popsicle sticks, I recommend placing the popsicle sticks in the center of the chair when measuring and noting the extra bulk on either side of the popsicle sticks. So you have to cut the popsicle stick twice. Now cut these 5 pieces, take two popsicle sticks. These also run to the sides. This is where out of hand comes into play. I inserted four of the five popsicle sticks into two new popsicle sticks. I started at the front, leaving a small gap between each one. I measured the space by placing things before gluing.

The fifth popsicle stick to which these will be glued is also trimmed. This piece also holds the back of the chair, make sure there is extra space between it and the other panels to accommodate the back of the chair. Arrived on the back of the chair, the adhesive is stuck directly on it. Remember that the chair will have some recline, so sit back. With one hand I wanted to hold the corner of the front of the chair and with the other I wanted to hold the corner of the front of the chair.
Then there are the sides of the chair. You will need two sliced popsicle sticks and two sliced popsicle sticks. Cut two popsicle sticks on either side of the chair next to the first popsicle stick that you placed on the seat of the chair. Cut off the bottom and top of these popsicle sticks. To cut the crowd, I cut the popsicle in two and placed a stick that would stick to the back of the chair. They later took up arms. The cut popsicle sticks are where the hands hold and at what angle. And I once measured where I wanted my hand and he drew a line where I wanted to cut the popsicle stick. I cut the bottom of the popsicle stick first so I didn’t have to worry about it in the calculations/measurements. After everything is cut you will glue them in place. Apply glue to all areas where one popsicle stick touches another popsicle stick.
The last part is the front part of the chair. This is mostly only apparent, but it really brings the chair together. I took a popsicle stick and put it over and then marked it
