How To Make Rope Placemats – I’m back today with another weekend mini-DIY: quick crafts you can do on a weekend for less than ten. Moreover, all my mini-maxes are designed to be something that beginners can try out. At the same time, it is a convenient tool for health promotion. As I mentioned before I regularly turn to DIY and handicrafts when I get into trouble. So having a creative outlet has become an integral part of my daily life for me. I hope these simple and affordable craft ideas inspire others to try them out and see if they can make a big difference in their lives.
This week I’m turning a rope into a boho placemat using a glue gun and fabric dye. I’ve seen many versions of this mat style. and can be expensive Especially if you have a table that seats 6/8! So I thought I’d do it myself.

After a little searching I found 20 yards of rope on ebay for £6 but the rope you put on it would be perfect for this craft. The first thing I did was find scraps of fabric to use as a mat – scraps left over from a flag I made years ago, thrown away after finishing the mat. You won’t be able to see it!
Then I attached the end of the rope to the center of the fabric with a glue gun. and began to wrap the rope in a circle Apply glue to the end of the string to attach the next piece. When you have a circle with a diameter of about 30 cm, cut the string and fold the ends down. The cut end of the rope is a good idea. so that the end of the rope does not protrude too much Otherwise the end of the rope will fray.
They will look ordinary. But as a result, I decided that I wanted to draw a design on them. I chose a geometric pattern in the boho style. Use masking tape to mark where to paint. It takes some time and some mess. But it is worth trying to make the pattern perfectly smooth.

Then I painted the pattern with black fabric dye. When the paint is completely dry, peel off the masking tape and you have a boho style pad!

1.) Start by cutting 2 pieces of cardboard or fabric to the size you want to make the placemat.
2.) Apply glue to the end of the rope and wrap it tightly in a circle. Glue the bottom to the center of the cardboard.
5.) Cut the rope into 3-inch pieces. I collected the pieces and glued them to the back of the mat.
