I made this table saw cart specifically for the Dewalt 10″ compact table saw, but it can easily be modified to fit your table saw.

I made plans for this cart to hold my Dewalt table. If using a different brand, check the size. Specifically, you need to measure the distance between the slats to make sure they will fit the table. When the rails move back and forth to adjust the fence, you need to have enough clearance to avoid hitting the table. My table is 19 3/4 inches between the slats, so the table is 19 5/8 inches wide.

I’ve been building for a long time, before I decided to share my builds with the world, I didn’t personally document what I made. I did take some photos of the process though. So I made a quick video showing how I did it. I also took some measures for you, so I hope that helps.

I made this diagram at the beginning of my construction journey. So maybe there are better ways to build this, I’d love to see ideas on how to make it better.

The entire table is 33-3/4 inches tall. That’s a tall height for me, but I’m only 5’4″. So if you’re tall, consider going up. (For reference, standard cabinet saws are 32 to 36 inches tall.)

It’s 48 inches wide, and since the piece of MDF I used is 48 inches wide, there’s no reason to go any further than that. It seems to be a pretty good width though.

It’s 30″ long with the outlet folded over (again, because that’s the size piece I started using) and 60″ with the outlet folded over.

I cut a square with a circular saw and made a very simple table based on these dimensions (save the remaining MDF, it will be used for an additional table).

I used 2x4s for the dresser and legs. I cut the legs to 15″ (this is for a 2×4 base with 3″ wheels). I placed the legs on the 4 corners of the MDF and measured how long it would take to cut the apron. It is attached with holes and screws.

I then took the remaining 48″ x 30″ piece of MDF and made a stand alone table.

I cut 6 2x4s @ 27-7/8 tall for the legs. I flipped the MDF and put 5 legs on all the corners and 1 in the center at the back.

I was then able to individually measure how much apron to cut between each leg. I attached them with a combination of screws and drilled directly on the outside of the mantle.

You should now have 2 tables like this. (no top, top not attached yet)

Now that the two tables were one, I could flip everything over and attach the bottom.

The longer base sections are attached directly to the legs, while the longer support sections are attached with holes and screws.
