By simply doubling the number of backrests and increasing the width of the seat, you can get a bench. In the adult version, you can also create a jar, but you need to add some supports that run parallel to the stringers. The children’s version does not need these supports.
Modern Adirondack Chair Templates With Plan
Mark the back of the stringers as shown here. Cut the strings. Once you have a stringer you are happy with, use it as a template for the rest of your stringers.
After cutting the stringers, attach the front apron as above with 2″ screws and glue. Keep the top edges level
Attach the front legs as above with 1 1/4″ screws and glue. The top of the front seat will be 10 inches high.
