If you have a passion for bottled beer and DIY projects, you are probably making a beer bottle cap table. It has special functions and is an easy project if you know what you are doing.
Although there are many different ways to make a table with a bottle cap, most of the steps to create this type of artwork follow a similar process.
If you don’t have a collection, bottle caps can be found for sale on sites like eBay. Just make sure they are fair. Caps that fold out of the bottle opening will not work for this project.

Tables with hard surfaces are good. Or if you already have a table base, you can buy an unfinished top for this project. Washing machines are available at Hardware stores or on Amazon. If you live near an IKEA, you might want to check out their affordable table selection.
I always use the E6000 for almost everything and it always does the trick. The great thing about this glue is that it sticks to almost everything, including metal, cement, rubber and fabric. In addition, it is clear dry.
No matter how you go about the process of creating a beer bottle cap table, you’ll want to take some epoxy to keep your efforts in place and give it a smooth finish.
How To Make An Upcycled Bottle Cap Table!
Make sure your beer bottle cap is clean and dry and place it on the table you plan to glue it on. It is important not to skip this step as you want to make sure the bottle caps are aligned without any weird gaps between them.
Once your favorite pattern is figured out and everything fits on the desk, then it’s time to glue the beer bottle caps with E6000 glue. Again, you can use any type of glue as long as it is purpose and bond to wood and metal.
There are many ways you can follow the order in which you close the hat down. Depending on the shape of your desk, you can start on one side and work your way through, or you can start around the perimeter and work your way to the center.

After you close each bottle cap, make sure you let the glue dry for at least 24 hours.
The next step is to pour the epoxy evenly over the beer bottle cap. Epoxy is the clear coating you see on most types of tables. There are two parts and it is important that you follow the instructions included with the epoxy as each brand will have a slight difference in the ratio of epoxy surface resin to epoxy hardener.
Some tips from my experience with epoxy: Make sure you use it in a well-ventilated area. On the other hand, it can be messy, especially if it runs over the edge of the table, so be sure to apply some kind of floor protection, such as tarpaulin.
