The piece of Living Edge Sinking Cypress I used for this resin river board project was 48 inches long and about 20 inches wide.

I sanded down the live edge of the cypress sinker to get straight edges, a flat surface, and square ends.

Apparently the live edge on either side of the wood panel prevented me from using a table saw fence.

First I read the grain pattern and located the center of the board by measuring front, center and back.

I then attached the cypress sinker to the jig using clamps, took my table saw blade and slowly pushed it through.

I then used my orbital sander with 120 grit sandpaper to remove loose debris from all the live edges.

I used silicone to seal the bottom of each live edge (lengthwise) to prevent the epoxy from leaking.

For this epoxy resin river table, I used ProMarine Table Top Epoxy because I had a lot left over.

I mixed 24 ounces of epoxy (12 ounces of hardener and 12 ounces of resin) according to the manufacturer’s instructions on their website.

A ratio of 1 to 12 gives a medium glow, while a ratio of 1 to 6 gives a bright glow.

After 24 hours, I mixed another 24 oz of epoxy and 2 oz of luster powder for the second pour.

The size of my container and stir stick allows me to easily mix 24 oz of material in one mix.

In the end, I wanted a softer glow, so I didn’t use the 4:1 ratio as suggested by Art n Glow.

I decided to buy a UV black light to manually charge the glitter powder during the day.

Since the table was indoors and part of the house with little sunlight, I knew the glitter powder wouldn’t lift enough.

I used fireproof glass on this table because it will be in the same room as the previous LED epoxy river table I made a few months ago.

The fire glass is quite dusty from the bag, so I cleaned the glass with a bucket of water.

I then poured the last 24 oz all at once, making sure the level of epoxy was level with the top of each piece of wood.

I used my ex to remove the excess silicone and hot glue from the underside of the epoxy river board.

I then turned off the lights in my workshop to show the look of the epoxy riverboard with the UV blacklight on.

I then turned off the UV Black Lights and the glitter powder shone through the fire glass perfectly.

I also used the hairpins I made on my previous table to match the legs.

I then attached them to the bottom of the live end riverboard, marking the pilot holes, drilling the pilot holes and adding the screws.

Also in the photo below you can see the glow in the dark epoxy board by blocking out the UV light.
