When you add the tulle, secure it by placing elastic bands in several places on the tablecloth.
To attach the tulle to the elastic, fold the strip in half and place the loop above and behind the elastic.
There may be strips that are longer than others which can be trimmed or made uneven and add to the whimsical look. I threw my daughter at a frozen birthday party. I love tulle and was thinking about making a table skirt and thought tulle would have the effect I wanted. I found a way to make this look and you can too!!
No Sew Tulle Table Skirt
1. Measure the circumference of the table, cut a rubber band to the circumference plus 6 inches, and tape the ends to the floor.
2. Measure from the top of the table to the floor, multiply and add 5 inches. My table is 35 inches, so I cut it to 75 inches.
5. Gather a piece of tulle in the middle and place a loop over and behind the elastic. Then take the tulle tail and thread it through the loop. Leave 3 inches on each side of the elastic band.

6. Once all of the tulle is on the elastic, place the tablecloth on the table and place a heavy object in the center to hold everything in place. (I used wool for the tablecloth because I wanted to mimic snow and it makes sense that it’s done.)
7. Secure one end of the rubber band to the edge of the tablecloth with a pin.
8. Go around the table, take a square of velcro tape, glue one end to the tablecloth, tie one end to the back knot of the fabric and wrap the velcro around every third loop.

9. Trim can be glued to the knots for a more polished look. You can, but I really like how the knot looks. We’ll decide as the party gets closer.
