We had fun designing and building our house. as we looked at it all together There are certain areas that I know I will have to create something custom to fit the area.

Areas such as a small entryway In the master bedroom is not wide enough to place an entire piece of furniture. But it’s old enough that it looks like something is missing if I choose to leave it blank.
The house is almost finished I decided I needed a console table. And I began to think about how I would build it and how it would turn out.
Until the day our suits arrived the day after we got the keys. I know what I’m going to do The DIY Pallet Console Table is just the place to be.

You see – the series has reached this palette. Zero looked at me and said, “Why doesn’t the courier take the pallet with him?”
Ha! Because I told you to leave it as it is and we will install it. as the row of bricks that came with the house had to be removed
He was worried about finding a place to store the palette. I assured him not to worry, I had a plan.

We contacted my friends at DecoArt and told them what I was planning to build. And to tell them what I need to do this project. They sent me a box full of chalks, cream wax, gel stains and brushes. and I work
I landscape the house with a paint brush and 2 tubs (8 oz) of Americana Decor limestone paint.
I then sealed it with Americana Decor Creme Wax. I have to say it was my first time using real chalk and wax.

Now I know why it’s popular. Painted in one coat – no primer, hooray! It takes about 12 ounces to cover the entire palette – even the inside.
This is very good. I am impressed. Now I wish I could knit for other projects.
Next I need a table top. We get the wood from the hardware store. Mark and cut to size.

I used maple colored Americana gel. Leave it overnight to dry. then sprayed with clear sealer
We then use screws to secure the wood to the pallet. Finally, we use a metal bracket to attach it to the wall for stability.
Here it is – a DIY pallet console table, just as I imagined it. Which is great, because I’ll be the first to tell you that Zero and I are novice DIYers.

Three Places To Use A Console Table
This one is a little more difficult without a planer to get square corners on a pine board. However, it is possible to get a clean finish without using either. Using only 15 2×4 pine boards, this table cost about 50 dollars! Nice trick for this $500 table.
I skipped most of the build steps and shared it on IG, but many of you want to give your own plans/build process. Here’s the tutorial below – I hope that explains it well without using all the pictures!
1. Cut 10 2×4 boards to the desired height at a 45′ angle on one end of our 31″H.

2. Leave the first 2x4s in place, use the pre-drilled 3″ screw holes and screw the 4 2x4s together on both sides.
3. When the 5 screws are fully tightened together Use 3/8 inch dowels and wood glue instead to attach the two sides together. hold until dry Repeat steps 2-3 for the second side.
4. For the head, cut 10 2 × 4 frames to the desired width. We are 54″ tall W. Cut both ends perpendicular to a 45″ angle.

5. Repeat the same process and screw the 5 ends of the frame together and center them using 3/8″ dowels and wood glue. Hold it tight until dry.
6. Then take a router and slightly straighten the edges. Cut the top of the frame until it is even on each frame. or if you have a planer Use this machine for that square step in each corner.
7. Cutting with the router at 1/4″ ensures that the router will not stretch and eat away at the wood. when the desired depth is achieved Repeat with the router at both heights.

8. In the side post Using 3/8″ dowels and wood glue, place the 45″ corner on the side and the 45″ corner on the top. repeat on the other side
9. Use 3.5″ screws to attach the sides of the table top to the bottom for reinforcement.
11. Finish as desired. If you choose this sealer, we recommend Minwax Polycrilic, clear matte. The coating will not yellow + it will not shine.

I used my favorite stain mix: Minwax Provincial and Weathered Oak diluted with a little water. Then add Valspar Lime Wash to each board to make each board different.
