How To Make A Simple Bar Stool – Hello fellow DIYers! A while ago I made plans for an outdoor patio bar with a concrete top. I promised a follow up video and tutorial on how to build super easy bar stools. So… here it is! I adapted the Georgian plans from MoreLikehome.net to match my patio bar. Industrial Adjustable Height Bolt Bar Stool

Drill pocket holes on all boards except for legs and seat boards. Use a Kreg Jig and place it on a 1 1/2 inch setting on both the jig and the collar to stop the bite.

Use 2 1/2 inch Kreg screws to attach the front and back of the chair. I recommend using wood glue as well.

Then attach the four side tables. This will connect the front ladder to the back ladder. Use clamps to hold the boards together if necessary. I have a set of JackClamps that I use for many projects.

Use 2 1/2 inch grub screws to attach the two 15 inch seats. When finished, attach the seat boards to the bottom support with 2 1/2 inch wood screws. Before gluing the seat boards, you can lay them down on top and stick them in place. Let the glue dry and turn it down to attach the boards with 2 1/2 inch screws. This will make it easier to separate the plates. Additionally, you don’t want any screw holes showing from the top.

Protect and let your new bar stools shine by smoothing on a few coats of Helmsman Spar Urethane from Minwax. If you prefer a different color or extra protection, I would recommend using a deck or stake stain.
