If you look around for dollhouses (“have you been down the rabbit hole” lately), you may notice that usually only a few miniature furniture pieces are included.
There never seems to be enough furniture, and buying furniture separately can be quite expensive! But there are several ways to make your own, and the description below is one of them.
To keep prices low, you can find everything you need in stores like Hobby-Lobbi or Action in Europe. What do you need:

You can make your own original miniature dollhouse furniture for only about $10. (remember, this will only fit in a Barbie-sized home, or maybe a slightly smaller one!)
Glue three Jenga blocks together to make a seat. Be careful not to put too much glue on the block, it will show.
Allow it to dry completely before proceeding to the next step. You will need two of these to complete the chair.

Now it’s time to glue the legs to the chair. Use the 4 blocks you placed on the chair and let them dry thoroughly!
Attach the chair to the back and voila, you have a chair for Barbie doll and a few toddlers to sit on! Not too hard in this case 😉
Making a small table is pretty easy too! Just snap the three blocks together three times (step 1). Wait for it to dry completely before assembling everything!

So, this piece of furniture was either made pretty quickly. This would be a very easy way to add them to your kids’ Barbie dollhouse.
They’re pretty cute, but you’d better advertise your flooring anyway, right?

I remember when I was 15, I made a complete dollhouse on the kitchen table using only cardboard and paper. I’m following the plan I read in a book I got from a family member (I don’t even remember who I got this book from but thanks again! 😉 ).
Maybe it doesn’t look like a great ‘work of art’, but as long as you’re happy with it and it keeps you busy, who cares?
All I remember is that the kitchen had a black and white (tile) floor and some kitchen furniture. And then it can “disappear” after the holidays lol.

But that’s okay, I’m more interested in the actual production process than the results, just sitting down to collect dust haha. that’s it for me 😉

Unfortunately, I noticed that the Etsy shop has been closed since the beginning of 2019, but you can still order the furniture patterns from the website.

Basically, you should do whatever she does, of course if you don’t like hot pink you can customize the cardboard furniture to your size and/or color.
Unfortunately, I’ve never seen it give any information about the dimensions of everything, so you’ll have to figure this out yourself.

Disadvantages of this method: you have to be willing to work from scratch and there is no help if you have questions or difficulties.
How to make miniature furniture from cardboard dollhouse, then you can use digital printable download and print on cardboard.
That is, I need to stand straightened, because this, of course, is not cardboard, but paper or cardboard (that would be better and stronger).

I found tons of digital downloads for dollhouse furniture on Etsy, all of which can be printed on cardstock (then fold and paste):
Of course, if you do not want to do all this yourself or do not like paper miniatures, you can still order miniature dollhouse furniture sets made of cardboard.
And then you need to put it together and finish it the way you want, i.e. cover it with a cloth, paint it or otherwise decorate it. Let your fantasy run wild!

There may be many more to be found on Etsy or elsewhere, keep your search in mind!
The advantages of this method: No need to cut the kit, easy to assemble. And yet you can decorate it however you want.
Disadvantages of this method: I think it’s hard to find in different scales, I could be wrong!

It’s simple: buy mini wooden furniture sets! They come in all sizes and styles, just look on etsy/ebay, etc. Another little list for you:
The advantages of this method: it is easy to install and the price is very affordable. Also, as I mentioned in this blog post, you don’t need any crafting materials other than fabric or paint and glue.
Again, I’m progressing with the help of the YouTube video, but the problem is not as much as I can find.

For do-it-yourself wooden furniture it is better to use a dollhouse magazine or dollhouse TV (there are many projects for this).
Advantages of this method: If you know how to draw and use blueprints, you can create original works.
The disadvantages of this method: believe me, if you want to make your woodworking life easier, get a mini table saw ;-). Also, you really need a lot of crafting materials to be able to do this.

Collect cardboard boxes of different colors and sizes for your project. The number of cardboard boxes required depends on the number of chairs you want to make.
Create a model that will serve as the basis for any chair or other furniture project. Start by measuring the seat 3.5 inches wide by 5 inches high. Make the seat width 1.5 inches and 1 inch for the back of the seat.
Cut out the pattern and use it to make the other 2 chair shapes. You will need two seat shapes per seat.
