How To Connect Fan And Light Switch
I’ve made this request a few times and in some cases I’ve had to open an existing wall switch and make some changes. I will remove the wall plate, open the switch box and pull the switch out of the wall to access the wiring. Sometimes painting the wall panel screws is the hardest part.

I walked through the wires to the switch box that was running on the two old gangs. As the box approached the wall, I continued to pull each wire until the box was against the wall.
The installation is almost complete. The homeowner wanted to replace the existing light switch with the new fan switch.

The upper holes were made from the cut pieces of the dryer. Dry edges and cuts in walls are filled with thick joints. After the part is pushed into place, some of the joint comes out. Using a wide spatula, smooth the blade.
