So, it’s no surprise that I decided to use as many seashells as possible to create this table.
Because of this, we spend as much time as possible at our home in Destin, Florida enjoying the warm sun, clear blue water and soft white sand.
To mount the seashell resin table in the corner of my son’s room, I made a 2″x24″ rectangular box using plywood.

After that, bend and lift the PCV pipe and push it in the desired direction. It helps if you draw a pattern path first, rather than trying to figure it out. I keep it simple; I pushed the resin in one direction and pushed it back. You can try anything you like, pipe rolling, zig zagging or anything else you can think of. You can tilt the workpiece to create movement in the design. Once you have the pattern you want, remove the torch and remove the bubbles. Then leave it for 24 hours.
Check your work. If it looks good, you’re good to go. Like I said in the video, I had a few accidents, so I’ll have to deal with that before moving on. If my action would have worked in my favor, I would have done it. Adding a clear coat helps, and I still recommend it — especially if you like the design. An additional clear coat adds protection. Before applying the clear coat I recommend a light sanding with the following: 120-grit, 220-grit and 400-grit.

Remove sanding dust with a damp cloth. Make sure the face is dry. Mix enough resin to cover the surface and then pour it onto the work surface. Take a brush and spread it, then a flashlight. Leave it for 24 hours.
For this project, I used hairpin legs to keep things simple. Feel free to go in any direction.
