Since I knew my desk would be mounted on the wall, I decided to make one side of the desk the front and the other side the back. For the back, I attached the cross pieces while the table legs were placed on their spines and I started attaching the front corner piece to the back of the legs.

Place the 6 7/8 sections in double, end to end. Leave a 1″ seam allowance between the two pieces. Mark the hinge holes with an awl or sharp nails and insert the screws. There should be six pieces.

Unfortunately, the screws that came with this bolt were too long for both of us. You need to replace it with some small screws or do what we did and cut the ends of the screws with some scissors.

Once one side is done, do the same on the other side, making sure to attach the hinges to the middle legs.
This is where things get a little complicated. There are a lot of hinges on this table, so it’s a bit difficult to put everything together. Some hands may need braces for this job.
Glue one of the unattached pieces to the table top with the two outer pockets on the other side of the center can. Repeat the top end and middle end.
