After my pets scratched the life out of my old pillow and peed, I looked for a sale or used pillow that I could work with, with no luck. Then I decided to make my own, reusing old pillows from around the house (because the packaging itself is more expensive than you think and again).
I borrowed my grandmother's sewing machine to see if I could figure out how to use it to start the project. With me and my mother's brain (mostly my mother) we figured out how to transport and start the thread! Knowing that I could use a machine, I was ready to finish the project in one day!

I bought fabric for about 10 bucks with a cute fuzzy fern design that I know my cat won't scratch this season because it's not woven. I laid out the fabric and measured a 52-inch circle (for a 48-inch chair). I did this by attaching a string to a needle at one end and a Sharpie at the other, leaving a gap of 26-inches. My mother made me hold the needle while I drew the circle.

Then I cut out the circle and flattened it. I want to test the pillow products I have, first to make sure there are enough. I cut the pieces from the 4 pillows and pulled the folds so I could spread them out and put them together. It seems to have a good distribution, so I cut the fabric on the outside of the pillow.
I used pins to connect the flat circle with the circle cut facing and the other fabric facing. I did it in these instructions so that the two edges of the fabric meet each other, so I can put this pin to sew and then the display will be inside. After pinning, I cut out the bottom circle by following the other edge.
Now that I've pinned both circles, it's time to sew. I marked two spots 2 feet apart as my starting and ending spots. I need to leave enough room to get in so that the eyes are soft on the outside, and then I can fill in with things. After a few mishaps like the needle falling and the fabric fringing once or twice, I finished sewing with the machine.

Then I removed the inner pillow and packed all the things I had prepared. It was fine with 4 pillows but I had an extra $4 pillow from Target (less expensive than buying one) so I cut it and kept it. I tried it and it worked perfectly, but we also had some old mattress foam so I cut it up and put it in there too. This time, the cushion is very soft, but very comfortable.
Then I debated how to close the legs, sew them or sew buttons and holes, but my father pulled out a zipper that he had saved from years ago (hard for DIY without needing to keep it) and I put it in. The zipper is sewn across. That way I can unzip and remove them when I need to clean them.
The pillow is done! Nice, soft and very comfortable. I'm sitting on it now, typing these instructions, and I look forward to many more hours of curling and reading and writing. A very nice cushion made of my choice in the blue fabric selected by the selection of patterns sent in the frame. I recommend measuring the bowl of your sofa carefully before ordering – I ordered a 100cm cushion for my sofa (cut from another – described as 1m diameter) but the cushion must be large again for space, so if I measure the depth I will have to order a larger cushion for part of the diameter. Maybe. However, how can I see the frame, which shows the model of the seats. The fabric of the cushion is tightly woven and beautifully soft to the touch.
