I think you should go for a 12mm bend with a wood edge on the router. Isn’t it a little more intense when you see these pictures?

I think weight will also be an issue, a standard desk (if I’m correct) is foam laminated, solid wood is a bit heavy, which can affect stability and wall mounting.
