The original 3-way switch box has ONE (line/power) 14-2 wire with ground and two 14-3 cables and ground wires.

The 14-2 (line/power) BLACK wire connects to the first and second 14-3 black wires, then to the bottom black screw on the front 3-way switch.

The first 14-3 (said to be a black/white wing from the 14-2/power line) went to the lift box/light mix box where black-black, white-white, red-red were combined. to another 14-3. wiring, after connecting the fan/light, match the black-black, white-white, red and blue wires. A new 14-3 wire continues from the box terminal to two fixed lights.

So there are three wires to the fan and back to the switch, then to the second switch and back to the third wire. The question is, should the black wires be wired like this on the front assembly? And why is the second wire 14-3 closed without any?

I am installing a ceiling fan in our kitchen and we need 1x switch for the fan (preset fan control switch) and 2x switches for the light (1x 3-pin dimmer, 1x 3-pin switch) . I couldn’t find any wiring diagrams for this setup, so I drew them myself:

Before implementing it, I like to look at the diagram from the side to make sure that it actually works as expected and is stable and stable.
What you expect is that it won’t register because of the loop created by the “solo” hot wire going up to the fan and then going back down to the other switch. I have not seen any electrical wiring diagrams attached or printed on the fan housing or motor. Most internal wiring diagrams show the blue wire and the black wire in the instructions.
