The original 3-way switch box has ONE (line/power) 14-2 wire with ground and two 14-3 cables and ground wires.

The 14-2 (line/power) BLACK wire connects to the first and second 14-3 black wires, then to the bottom black screw on the front 3-way switch.

Way + Fan Switch + Power To Light

The first 14-3 (said to be a black/white wing from the 14-2/power line) went to the lift box/light mix box where black-black, white-white, red-red were combined. to another 14-3. wiring, after connecting the fan/light, match the black-black, white-white, red and blue wires. A new 14-3 wire continues from the box terminal to two fixed lights.

After the light switch, the black wire of the other 14-3 wire is connected to the 14-3 Front, the red wire is connected to the copper wire (trip) on the front 3-way rear, and the wire is shorted. white i. NO.

This second 14-3 wire is routed to the other 3-way switch box (only with this 14-3 wire) and terminated there with the black wire to the bottom black wire, the red wire to the copper lead wire right, and the white wire to the left copper wire.

This second 3-way switch is not used for the fan/light and can light as needed and work with the first three-way switch. The first switch only turns on the fan/light and can light up at the same time.

So there are three wires to the fan and back to the switch, then to the second switch and back to the third wire. The question is, should the black wires be wired like this on the front assembly? And why is the second wire 14-3 closed without any?

I am installing a ceiling fan in our kitchen and we need 1x switch for the fan (preset fan control switch) and 2x switches for the light (1x 3-pin dimmer, 1x 3-pin switch) . I couldn’t find any wiring diagrams for this setup, so I drew them myself:

Before implementing it, I like to look at the diagram from the side to make sure that it actually works as expected and is stable and stable.

What you expect is that it won’t register because of the loop created by the “solo” hot wire going up to the fan and then going back down to the other switch. This violates the prohibition of 300.3(B)/310.10(H) on feeder doors and similar wires, which can create magnetic fields and cause thermal current problems in your walls.

What you need to do is run a 14/3 from the 2-way switch (fan + light switch) to the fan box, then use the 14/3 between the double junction box as a 3-way switch.

Two constant heat or heat transfer trips as the “return” leg back where it meets the second transfer case. This eliminates the 14/2 conversion from a one-way box to a fan box and eliminates magnetic field problems in your original design.

The lifting screw diagram at the top of this blog post shows a common screw method that has long been used in home construction.

In this ceiling fan wiring diagram, the blue wire of the ceiling fan is connected to the LOAD side of the switch to control the fan light. The black fan wire is connected to LINE, which allows the fan pull circuit to control the fan motor independently of the board.

If you want to change the wiring on the switch door to control the ceiling fan, go to my blog post here, there are pictures of how to change a switch door to heat to connect a fan ceiling two wall switches.

Another blog post shows how to replace the vents for a ceiling fan using metal replacement screws.

It is common to see a white wire used as a HOT or LINE wire on a switch. However, the white wire should be re-identified with a color other than white, gray or green. I have different rolls of electrical tape that I use for re-discovery. Some electricians will use a permanent ink pen to change the color of the wire.

With new home construction, the National Electrical Code requires wall switches in electrical outlets to include independent wiring. Alternatively, you can use an electronic device instead of a standard wall switch to control the ceiling fan and lights. Read § 404 2(C) where the neutral is called “circuit conductors.”

The National Electrical Code also requires that every electrical box located in the room where the ceiling fan is installed must be rated to support the ceiling fan. This is new to 2020 Code § 314.27(C)

I have not seen any electrical wiring diagrams attached or printed on the fan housing or motor. Most internal wiring diagrams show the blue wire and the black wire in the instructions.

My post showing electric car wiring diagrams may be useful if you repair an electric car. Silver pole motors are available to crown fans.

Before buying a fan, I recommend reading the manufacturer’s installation instructions. They are available on the manufacturer’s website. Below this post are some links to ceiling fan tools.

Ceiling Fan Wiring Diagrams

Ceiling fan electric pictures can be used for wall replacement for new construction and renovation of old work.

The schematic wiring diagram is connected to the power at the switch box and the LOAD wire connected to the blue wire to the light and the black wire to the motor fan.

The ceiling fan wiring diagram above shows that it first enters the electrical transformer box and then converts the hot and cold current going to the ceiling through the second wire. With this method, the black wire for the fan and the blue wire for the ceiling light are connected to the LOAD wire from the wall switch.

The fan and light are controlled by a single wall panel, but the back of the wall can be left and the fan and light can be controlled using pull chain switches.

How To Install A Ceiling Fan

A remote control can be attached to this ceiling fan. Just keep the back of the wall in the on position.

If you don’t need a remote control, but want all of your fan control in place of a wall switch, look for a ceiling fan with wall control that works over existing wiring. In some cases, it’s just a remote control that connects to the wall like a normal wall switch.

The fan wiring diagram is connected to the power in the ceiling box and the blue wire connected to the red LOAD wire from the wall switch and the black fan motor wire connected to LINE

Shown above is the method used to get an independent driver from the power source to the ceiling fan’s electrical box located in the breaker box. The blue fan wire is connected to the red LOAD wire from the wall switch. The black fan wire is connected to LINE. The wall switch will control the ceiling fan light and the cable switch will control the fan motor with the back of the wall away.
