Treated wood usually has a very high moisture content and takes three to six months before it is ready to be finished. For dried wood stamped with KDAT or KD19, wait one or two months.

I filled all the pocket holes with paintable/stained wood and then attached the seat to the seat with 1 1/4″ nails and wood glue.

I decided to paint the table white (as I already had one) and the chair red. I found this strawberry color in the “oops” paint section marked down to $1.57.
