They take a little time because of all the steps you have to do, but you can do it in a couple of days! (Or in a day if you want to make bundles hahaha) The 1 roll of wire I linked above will give you enough to make 4 in total.

Step 1 Cut 1 5ft long wire and 5 30in long wire as shown in the picture above. Side note – you need a lot of surface, so keep your wire and scissors nearby.
Just a heads up, the beginning of this process is the hardest part. Once you start at the center, it’s the same from there.
Step 3 Take five pieces of rope that are shorter than yours (30in) and make what is called a lark’s head knot. Make sure you tie yours to the 5 foot pieces of hanging wire (see above)

To make the lark’s head knot, start by folding a piece of yarn in half (pictured left) and place the rope over the 5ft rope facing out. Next, place the taped end on top of 5 feet of wire as shown in the picture above, then take the two ends of the wire and twist them together and pull them tight (pictured right ).
Your final headband should look like the picture above. Repeat these steps for each of your 5 30in cables.
When you have 5 30 inch strings, take 5 feet of string and pull it tight (pictured above). The result of changing the strings is in the image directly above.

Now, let’s do what is called a double half hitch knot. You take 5 feet of cord (your umbilical cord) and place it on the front cord closest to the sheep’s head. Then use the left side of the lark’s head, make the picture “number 4” above.
Then put the end of the wire under the 5ft wire and give it the number 4 you made. Hold the 5-foot wire tightly, and pull out the loop wire. Repeat this process so that you can do each line twice.
Continue every 30in of line to make two half knots, always using the same solid line (5ft line).

When making your half-and-half bundles, if you notice a large gap between your solid wire and your next 30in cable, you will need to re-connect the solid wire. This is where the special twist I mentioned at the beginning comes in.
Cut another line, about 30in to make 26in. Each time you need another line to fill the space, cut it 2 inches shorter than the first line.
Add more lines to the handle by making a lark string (see above). After reconnecting the cable, continue the process of sealing between the two.

Once you’ve finished your coaster to the desired size, I made 7 rows, it’s time to tie the string! I took a large needle and looped it around the last row. Then tie a knot and cut.
It’s time to cut the ends to make it easier. You will trim again when the ends are finished. Use your brush, (I use the same one we use to brush our dogs lol) create a shape, and start blending the ends to get the desired effect. When you cut all the ends, make sure to cut all the lines. After I made my coasters, I ironed them flat and super duper straight. You can do this or keep them as they are. But you are!
