After all the parts were cut, I went to the router and skipped everything except the bottom and backing. After securing the other side in the same way, move everything up to the work surface and attach the two center posts.

When buying boards to make planks, you can buy 1×2 boards and use them as is, or you can buy 1×6 boards and use a table saw to cut them to 1 1/2 inches. It's a little cheaper to do it this way, but it's easier to find a straight 1×6 than a 1×2. Anyway. I found 5 straight 1x2s. So I bought the rest of the 1x6s and used them. Note: You can get 2 boards of 1×2 and 6 boards of 1×6.

I set up a stop on the miter saw and proceeded to cut my boards to length. Alternative: If you don't have a miter saw, use a jigsaw to cut.

Start attaching the boards – I borrowed my husband's drill to speed up the process (with two drills). A counter was placed in one pilot hole and a Phillips in the other to drive the screws. Attach the front panel first, then move back and attach the last.

Then I cut a piece of 1/2 inch wood from the rest to make sure everything was even.

After the seat I went to the back and repeated the steps. I attached the bottom panel first and moved it up, screwed the top trim panel and filled the gap.

After the swing was dry, I added the chain. I cut each link into 8 lengths (each link has two loops) and punched a hole in the top. Then the chain is attached to the trolley block, the washing machine with nylon caps. Note: Make sure the link is bent as shown below before tightening the bushing.

The rest of the chain is then divided into two equal lengths, cut in the middle and attached to their respective places at the bottom. This cable goes through the hole in front of the cup holder.

Now you can connect the cables through the “S” hook and find a place to hook them.
