Since the actual dimensions were not available online, I made my own, making sure the final design would fit when the door was opened normally. The finished dimensions of the shelf chair are 41.5″ wide by 34.5″ long and 29″ high.

I started by creating a base cut from a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood and building the sides using 2 x 2 inch pine.
I used Gorilla glue and Kreg pocket screws to attach the 2 x 2 and 2 x 1 pieces to the plywood platform.
I then used another 2 x 1 inch pine to create a support for the first floor piece of plywood and attached it with pocket screws and wood glue.

I didn’t take any pictures to add the horizontal part of the seat, but this square piece of plywood is the same size as the main piece and it’s glued straight on.
I then started with the 2 x 2 top shelf slots for the pan. I used Kreg pocket screws and wood glue to attach them. Seating area is 28.5″ long and 26″ wide.
