I’m a little excited about today’s project, which is made from shipping pallets and a $5 table I picked up at Habitat Restore. Reclaimed wood projects are here to stay, folks, at least for this DIY. Cut the pallet wood at a 45° angle with a miter saw. Find the wood in the center to make 90° angles (I drew a line down the center of the table with a pencil with a ruler).
Glue and nail with a pneumatic nailer or hammer and finish the nails. Here I am using the Ryobi AirStrike nailer. The thing is incredible. I can’t believe how strong, light and cheap it is. I use it on all my pallet wood projects and it makes my life worthwhile, or at least much easier when building.

Use the circular saw to cut off the excess wood that sticks out from the edge of the original table. This is much easier than cutting each board individually to size. way Easier. And faster. Stripe with 1×2 or 2×8 divisions like I did. I beveled the edges at 45° for a fuller look.
