Betty Boop™ X Ipsy Unveil Fun And Flirty Beauty Collaboration
Every month, Ipsy customers receive a make-up bag in addition to the goodies. This month it’s a Betty Boop bag. Black beads are scattered in the background.
This brand always tends to remind me of tanning beds for some reason. I generally don’t like tropical scents and this is no exception. It smells like an overpowering and slightly artificial mix of grapefruit and peach. To be honest, I don’t like food scents unless they have some kind of woody or spicy base. Formula wise, I love this cream. It’s hydrating without being greasy and feels super light, which is surprising for the amount of hydration it gives my skin. I think this formula might be green tea scented if I remember correctly, which would be more my type of scent.
I never miss an opportunity to incorporate AHAs into my skincare routine, and these pads are coated in a blend of lactic and glycolic acids. They work together to exfoliate your skin over time and improve radiance and texture. I think this mini pack of 10 is adorable and appreciate the resealable sticker on it. It’s the perfect little pack for travel.

Ok, I love the shade of this blush. It’s such a pretty pink! Not too peachy, not too baby pink. The texture is also quite interesting as it is a sort of powder/jelly hybrid. You can apply it with a brush or your fingertips to give a natural blush. The hybrid consistency makes it feel really buildable and blends really well.
I have mixed feelings about this mascara because even though it’s a bit clumpy, it adds length to my lashes. It doesn’t comb out chunks after a few rounds, but I’m not blown away by the formula. If they could shred it with that kind of stretching power, I’d be obsessed!

Every time I start thinking that my complexion could be warmer (I love warm eyeshadows and lip colors), I get a swatch that completely resets that opinion. Although this shade is called “light”, it is too yellow for me. There are two lighter shades in this formula, the lightest of which is “fair” and I think this is probably the shade I need for my overall neutral skin tone. I really like the coverage of this formula and that it has a very high SPF rating. I’ll probably go to Sephora sometime this week to check out the right shade.
Verdict: This Ipsy Glam bag is just plain good this month. I really like about half of the bag, but the rest is not my cup of tea right now. The overall value is at least around $35.71, although I don’t know what the Betty Boop Mascara retails for. All in all, it’s not the worst price for a $10 bag, but I’m hoping for a sample next month that I might like better.

What we pick will definitely determine what bag we get because those bags are pre-made… The cards have to be sent to the printer so that the selection is “preset” and what bag will go with it. I think the algorithm still exists but I don’t think it works because they keep sending me brown and gold shadows 😔 My Ultimate has 2 different primers and the Huda Warm Brown palette as well as the Champagne shade. . I’m really disappointed that I have double types of things, but I think only one type of things happens. I just want the color I use or can use. Hopefully someone will trade me in for the Huda MUG Highlighter.
It makes sense…explains why I have stuff in my bag that I can’t use…I might be going out soon…I chose a primer and although I liked it at first when I tried it, it all peeled off and packed before putting on makeup. come in! Then I got the Murad Acne Face Wash! I might have used something like this 15 years ago, but not now. I love my supplement, but if I don’t have anything in my bag that I can even try on, it doesn’t make sense to continue. See, it keeps me from going to the next price level glam bag.
It is true. If people believe that Ipsy customizes every bag for them, they would be wrong. This map/version is pre-prepared and is now determined by what you have selected as one of your items. If you don’t choose, you will only be given a random variation that may or may not be closer to your profile by chance. It’s bullshit, nothing more, nothing less. We either want to play the game or we don’t.

I know a lot of people complain about the bag, but when I saw it in person I thought it was really cute. I also have the BB mascara but I haven’t tried it yet. I may be in the minority, but I love the new packaging. I love the peach/pink color.
