Tough guy Jeff Norris tells the funny story of how he got into a car accident and his gun flew over the speedometer. It is clear that he was only calling because he needed to and was trying to get the attention of the two publishers that are no longer available. I think this is the point where they took Jeff Norris out of the game.

Rich Vos is in the studio having fun. His stupidity is no joke and Opie treats him like a person and a friend.
Vos insults and insults people's humanity in a deep way, so the show will become a trademark and be successful for a long time. The 2001 O&A show wasn't interesting, I guess, but they hadn't mastered the art of roasting. They still cared about people's feelings when the humor hit hard. However, Vos is solely responsible for bringing a new kind of brutal comedy to the show.
Check out any of his fights with Jeff Norris. There are several fights where he attacks Norris' 8 minute stuff. This is a perfect metaphorical moment for O&A from the bawdy comedians who used to give the benefit of the doubt when they bomb, to the youngsters like Vos who are very funny and will surprise you. something else.
Vos is able to express what everyone in the room was thinking. Maybe that's what people have been talking about all this time when they say the NEW Days are the best. Damn hilarious. Oh, and by the way, the guys have completely turned their backs on Jeff Norris and are making fun of him.
